My coursework and participation in the School of Business 21 CAP program has afforded me the opportunity to develop my computer, leadership, business, and management skills all-essential to my field. Most recently I was able to sharpen my communication, management and analytical skills by working in the area of project management. During my current transition period, I have taken it upon myself to receive certifications, such as Google AdWords and updating my computer skills, by currently learning the basics of SQL to better enhance my skills.

Mount Ararat Baptist Church - Front Office Administrative Assistant

  • Maintains over 1,500 plus membership and household records in ACS database, and appropriate paper files.

  • Prepares quarterly and yearly statements of financial giving and oversee their distribution.

  • Maintains yearly church calendar; including scheduling of ministry meetings/events and meeting room space.

  • Responsible for overall front office activities, including the reception area, telephone and email communication, mail, and directing and coordinating office services.

 

 

DTLR Inc. - Cashier/Fashion Expert

  • Operated a POS cash register, handled 150 transactions daily on average, counted money in drawers to ensure amounts

  • Optimized product availability with an eye for customer service, business efficiency, and storage space.

  • Designed, planned, and created floor displays that resulted in an increase of customer engagement.

  • Assisted in creating and efficient process for changing to new promotional layouts that maximized time and space while minimizing impact on customers and sales. 

 

 

Camden City School District - Project Management Intern

  • Worked directly with COO to gain experience with budgeting, data analysis, Microsoft Project and Excel.

  • Managed about 15 administrative and management projects to completion within timeline and budgetary constraints that directly affected the school district.

  • Provided detailed oversight for 4 cross functional teams based on work plans for key summer projects. Included the development and managing of the policies and procedures handbook for entire school district.

  • Developed PowerPoint presentations to communicate progress, metrics, and provide updates to teams.
